We are here to promote a love of baseball, provide instruction for improving skills appropriate to age level and to use Little League as a vehicle for teaching life lessons that will help in the development of healthy, happy, self confident adults.
The Tournament of Champions (TOC) teams are the Division winners of the playoffs. Santa Cruz Little League fields four TOC teams - a Majors American and National Division winners and and a AAA American American and National Division winners. These teams play in a single-elimination tournament against the winners of other local leagues in District 39. District 39 consists of San Lorenzo Valley Little League, Scotts Valley Little League, Live Oak Little League, Capitola-Soquel Little League, Aptos Little League, San Juan Aromas Little League, and Watsonville American Little League. As every team in Majors and AAA makes the playoffs, every team has a chance to go to the TOC.
Traveling Tournament Teams (All Stars)
The All Star teams are selected by players and managers and will represent Santa Cruz Little League in the post season tournaments. Based on SCLL's divisional make up (American and National), we will field 2 teams in each of the following age groups: 11-12, 10-11, 9-10, 8-9 and 7-8. The 8-9 and 7-8 teams will compete in a District 39 tournament. The 9-10 and 10-11 teams can go on to Section 5 tournaments and the 11-12 team can move through District, Section, State, and Region tournaments to get to Williamsport for the Little League World Series.
More information on eligibility, the selection process and the dates of the tournaments will be posted shortly.
